The manga chapter 185 ended with Lau bringing out his knives against Baldo. He basically reveals that he was also listening to Baldo’s conversation with Ada; however, he didn’t like that Baldo chose to help her. This will definitely lead to a confrontation between them. On the other hand, Dr. Knox may use that opportunity to either attack Ada or join the fight between these two. His actions would further complicate the mess. What will happen for sure is the destruction of the Nursing Home in this fight. However, it is doubtful if Baldo will get out of it, alive or not.
For the time being, only time will tell if Ada was serious or lying to gain his trust. Fans are eager to know if Dr. Knox will go for Ada or join the fight between Baldo and Lau. The title of Chapter 185 of Black Butler was “The Butler, Sympathising (Agreeing).” The chapter began with Dr. Knox overhearing Baldo and Ada’s dialogue. After hearing about Baldo’s tragic life, Ada tells him about the horrors of nursing and medical conditions after the war. In order to build a healthy and safe nursing home, Ada had no choice but to rely on the funding provided by the Aurora Society to make her dream come true. She also reveals that it was the Aurora Society collecting the blood from the patients. In fact, they had increased the quota of the blood being collected, and she had objected because it would kill the patients.
This is when Baldo pulls his gun at her and says that he has no choice but to kill her; however, he offers her the chance to join him and refuses to collect blood anymore. And she agrees, revealing that the next blood collection will be happening tomorrow. This meant that Baldo would have less time to prepare. He instructs her to act as everything is normal and rushes out. That is when Lau throws knives at him making him stop. The last panel shows Lau being sad about Baldo’s choice, which was saving Ada.
