The ill-health of the mangaka resulted in her getting a PCR test. The test confirmed that she had contracted the Covid-19 virus. The fans began hoping for a quick recovery for the author soon after the tweet.

Yamaguchi later tweets another statement. The tweet confirmed that the author would focus on resting and getting better in the process. Seems like it is the season of delays in the popular manga. One such name on the long list is World Trigger. One Piece also faced a delay back in April 2020. Whereas, My Hero Academia has also suffered several delays this pandemic season.

When Is Blue Period Manga Returning?

Reportedly, Tsubasa Yamaguchi will be taking a rest for a month, so the manga is expected to release according to that time. Blue Period Manga has produced 11 volumes till now. The text is a fan favorite, so the delay is very unlikely to cause a problem in the success. Plus, the comments on the mangaka’s Twitter page were filled with fans concerned and endearing responses.

However, if the health worsens, then a further halt can be expected. So, a certain release date is hard to point out at the timing of writing. The series is likely to start publishing in the April issue. All in all, the manga is an award-winning piece that collected fans from all around the world.
