The title of Chainsaw Man Episode 9 was “From Kyoto.” The episode started with Denji getting beaten up by the Snake Devil. He then went to the Katana Man to fight him. But he was cut in half right there. The rest of the fighters went ahead to move Denji’s remains into the van. Meanwhile, even Makima was back from Kyoto. And she had come with instructions. Makima asks them to assemble death-row inmates at a high-altitude temple.
But somehow, all members of the Akane gang started exploding. And the only man standing was Katana Man. By the end of the episode, Kobeni came inside the van to fight Akane. But both Akane and Katana Man flee the sight soon enough. By the end of the episode, Kobeni apologized to Denji for creating such a situation as such. The last scene showed Makima being under a lot of questions.
