It is that time of the year when different anime streaming sites launch back to back anime. In our previous article, we have already mentioned the whole list of anime going to feature on Funimation in its Summer 2020 lineup. Now, after the Funimation, Crunchyroll is about to release anime for this summer.
Recently, the Crunchyroll network through its official website announced two upcoming anime. According to the news from the Crunchyroll on July 7, those anime would be Ninja Collection and Umayon.
Ninja Collection
Let’s discuss some details about them. Both of them are spinoff versions of their respective anime. Ninja Collection is the spinoff of Yamashibai: Japanese Ghost Stories.
The Yamishibai is a story of an old man kamishibaiya who, used to cover his mouth with a yellow mask. On a daily basis, he came to the playground and shows paper drama related to the supernatural events and the truth behind them to the children playing there. Later on in each season, the looks of kamishibaiya keep on changing. For example, in one season he came in his childhood look whereas, in the last season he turned into a black shadow.
Ninja Collection is following the legacy of Yamashibai but this time its main focus is on Tōkeshū group of Ninjas residing in Tokyo. Most of the cast of spinoff version and Yamashibai: Japanese Ghost Stories is same.
Umayon
Similar to the Ninja Collection, Umayon is the spinoff version of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, which is the adaption of its manga of same name.
The anime series of Uma Musume released in the year 2018 and it portrays the dedication towards horse riding of a girl. The story revolves around the group of horse girls and how they follow their dream to become the best horse girl. Umayon being the spinoff version of Uma Musume: Pretty Derby is following its footsteps.
According to the Crunchyroll, the Umayon is live there, the anime has already released on July 7. Whereas, no confirm schedule is there for the Ninja Collection. The anime is be available in several territories of the world.
