Yutaka Abe and Jiro Maruden launched Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet Manga this February in Shonen Sunday S magazine. Prior to this manga, the pair drew Detective Conan: Quarter of Silence anime film. It ended on January 25, 2022, when the pair announced Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet Manga. However, the anime film aired in Japan in April 2021, after a delay due to the pandemic. It later aired internationally in November 2021. The film also aired simultaneously in 22 countries and territories outside of Japan.

Recently the news surfaced that Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet is coming to its end. On Thursday, Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday magazine’s October issue disclosed that Maruden and Abe’s manga adaptation of Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet, the 24th film of the franchise, will drop its last chapter in the next issue of the magazine. They launched this manga earlier this year in Shonen Sunday S, which will end later this year.
Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet Manga: What Is It All About?
It starts with Japan preparing to commemorate the World Sports Game by hosting them in Tokyo. Japan’s advanced technology’s pinnacle, the Hyperlinear bullet train, will start operating the same day at the WSG’s opening ceremony. The train runs at 1,000 km/h speed between Shin-Nagoya and Tokyo’s newly built Shibahama Station.
But, something disastrous strikes Tokyo. All of a sudden, all the industry leaders who are gathered for the big Game get kidnapped. In the shadows, Shuichi Akai is watching the crisis. On the other side, FBI agents are waiting for their orders to start their investigation. But in the middle of the crisis, Conan deduces that the issue has a connection with WSG-kidnapping that took place in Boston 15 years ago. He reveals that the FBI was assigned to handle the case back then.
