The idea was to step on the hot-air balloon in order to click some pictures from the air.

The title of Dr. Stone Season 3 Episode 2 was “Greed Equal Justice.” The episode started with Senku revealing that they do not have enough revival fluid. He was sure that it was Minami who had taken one person’s fluid. Now, they were planning to take that fluid back. The first part of the mission was to bring back Francois. And now, Ryusui had a butler for himself who could help him with everyday activities. Minami then goes to Senku to share that she was expecting him to fulfill his dream.
In the next act of the episode, Senku takes the help of Kaseki and Chrome to recreate the Daguerreotype. This was the first primitive camera in the world. And so, the episode comes to an end with the team clicking the first-ever picture of their time. Only after a long time were they able to click a picture of Senku in a different pose.
