Additionally, David Production produced the anime series adaptation of the Fire Force manga series in 2019. Later in 2020, a second season followed. Both the seasons combined have 48 episodes. After almost seven years of a run in one of Japan’s biggest shounen magazines, the Fire Force Manga is coming to an end. AnimeNewsandFacts posted on Twitter that the manga series will end in the next 3 chapters. There is no official announcement from Kodansha about this subject. However, the series’ creator, Atsushi Okubo, posted a tweet on January 25, 2022, stating that he has submitted the final chapter of his work to the publishers. So, it could very well be true that the series would end in 3 more chapters.

How Will The Manga End?
The story happens in the year 198 of the Tokyo Solar Era. Two hundred fifty years before the manga series, there was a huge disaster that burned away most of the Earth. The Tokyo Empire is one of the few spots where people can still live. However, the people start burning away out of the blue. These kinds of incidents keep increasing in number. And the Fire Force tries to come to their rescue. The story follows the main character, Shinra Kusakabe. He can burn his feet at will. Slowly he comes to know more about his path and his supposedly dead family.
Currently, the series is in its twenty-third arc, which is the ‘Great Cataclysm Arc.’ The world is about to end and the flames of Adella are burning through the Earth. The Fire Force, or the last left of it, decides to help the citizens and protect them as much as possible. On the one hand, the Infernal Doppelgangers attack the Fire Force. And on the other hand, the Dragon is a danger to people. Vulcan and Arthur start preparing for a duel with the Dragon. The results of this duel will decide the fate of the world. This is the finale that will be wrapped up in these few chapters of Fire Force.

Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine is very regular with its issue. If there is no production delay, the series will end by this month.
