After five years of God Eater’s release, fans have started to lose hope for God Eater Season 2. As of now, anime studio Ufotable is yet to confirm the return of the anime. Similarly, the creator of the God Eater video game, Bandai Namco Entertainment, hasn’t announced the release of another sequel. However, that does not rule out the possibilities of their renewal. In fact, according to speculations, there is still hope for the anime and game both. Here’s some insight into the future of your favorite show.
Bandai Namco Entertainment’s RPG video game, God Eater, debuted on PlayStation Portable back in February 2010. In no time, the sci-fi game became immensely popular amongst Millenials and Gen Z alike. The company later released several sequels and versions of the game. God Eater 2 and 3 were launched in November 2013 and December 2018, respectively. Studio Ufotable picked up the theme for an anime adaptation that premiered midway in July 2015. After its first broadcast, fans began to anticipate a second season of the anime.
When Will God Eater 4 (Game) Come Out?
None of the companies related to the anime or game production have spoken about the sequels yet. However, that does not mean there won’t be any new installments in the future. God Eater 3 game was released in December 2018 in Japan and in February 2019 for international fans. In March 2020, Bandai Namco Ent. released the final chapter (of God Eater 3) called Traversing The Past (Episode Ein) with an update 2.50. Hence, it hasn’t been long since the completion of the third game.
Based on the game’s history, God Eater 4 (game) might take a few years to return. Most of its previous sequels were released with a gap of two or more years. Besides, such high-quality games (or versions) usually require more time to make. Thus, it’s only fair for the fourth part to launch sometime around later 2021 or 2022. Yet, the anime sequel might only get a renewal once God Eater 4 is confirmed.

Even though fans are losing hope for the new season, it is likely to make an exciting comeback sometime soon.
However, most Japanese anime are released solely to promote their source material. The first season of the God Eater anime helped spike the sales of God Eater Ressurection (2015) and God Eater 3 both. When Will God Eater Season 2 Release?
As of now, the producers of the anime are yet to renew the sequel. Therefore, God Eater Season 2 does not have a set date for the premiere. Thus, the second season of the anime might release a few months before or after the game’s launch. Even so, a 2022 or 2023 release date seems most plausible.
