For years, the mange made a name for itself for all the right reasons. But now, the movie is sure to bring some incredible set pieces upfront th world. Nao Iwamoto has written the Manga. It is a critically acclaimed Josei manga that has won many awards. Furthermore, it ranked #1 in the 2017 Kono Mana ga Sugoi! for female readers. The manga has only 1 volume consisting of 8 chapters. It started serializing in Flowers shojo magazine in 2014. Studio Madhouse is animating the movie. Also, there are some very big names contributing to the movie. Subsequently, the movie is much anticipated. Warner Brothers is licensing the movie.
Gold Kingdom And Water Kingdom Anime Film: Trailer Out!
Warner Brothers Japan released the film’s main trailer on Friday. The trailer previews Kotone’s Brand New World song. Also, Kotone is doing two more songs for this movie. They are called Yasashii Yokan and Love Birds. Also, The movie will only have these three theme songs. The Animation Film Festival on October 21 screened the movie’s world premiere in Hollywood, Los Angeles. However, it was not fully public.
Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom is a romance-drama movie. It follows two kingdoms which are A and B (as mentioned in the synopsis by ANN). Suddenly, a war breaks out between the two over a negligible matter. However, God stops them. God ordered them to exchange the most beautiful girl from kingdom A and the most intelligent man from kingdom B as bride and groom. The duo starts living as a pretend couple to maintain peace between countries. However, they gradually find themselves falling in love.
Cast & Staff Updates!
The movie announced its two main characters’ cast in July. Kento Kaku is playing Naranbayar, the prince. Minami Hamabe is playing Sara, the princess. Kotono is Watanabe is the director. And Fumi Tsubota is writing the scripts. Further, Mitsuyuki Masuhara is the animation director. Other cast members include Hiroshi Kamiya as Saladin, Gold Kingdom’s Minister.
With him, Miyuki Sawashiro will Lailala, a mysterious woman who works for the Gold Kingdom. Plus, Subaru Kimura will come as Jauhara, a Gold Kingdom scholar. Keiko Toda plays Leopoldine along with Masaki Terasoma as Oduni, Water Kingdom’s patriarch. At last, Banjou Ginga will be seen as Rastavan III, Gold Kingdom’s king.
Gold Kingdom And Water Kingdom Anime Film: Release Date
As of the time of writing, both release dates have been revealed by the makers. So, the film will officially be released in Japanese theatres on January 27, 2023.
