The next chapter of Golden Kamuy is going to start on an interesting note. After getting shot in the torse by a poisoned arrow, Ogata is left with no choice but to retreat. First, he needs to stop moving and remove the inflicted area of poison. He has very little time until he can clean the area and draw out the poison. Meanwhile, Asirpa will tend to the wounds of Sugimoto. She had already thought to herself that she would die if need be in this fight.

Chapter 309 of Golden Kamuy started with Tsurumi talking about the Ainu Land deed before he could bid his final farewell to Hokkaido. Here, Ogata once again tried to make an escape from that train car. Sugimoto shot his shoulder and pinned him to the car once again. But Ogata was quick enough to make a move. After a long fistfight, the former managed to injure Sugimoto, causing him to bleed heavily. In his last moment, he pointed the gun at Ogata, making clear that he was going to kill him.
But Asirpa came in and tried to stop him. Ogata shot Sugimoto and so did Asirpa to Ogata. She thought to herself that she would happily spend the rest of her days in hell with Sugimoto. Towards the end of the chapter, Ogata was trying to plunge out the arrow from his body so that he could draw out the poison. Here, Asirpa watched all this in silence.
