The October 2021 issue of Hakusensha’s Melody magazine announced that the Himitsu Season 0 manga would be going on hiatus. Author Reiko Shimizu also shared the news with the readers through his Twitter handle.
While Hakusensha’s Melody magazine did not confirm the reason for the hiatus, the author did share his issues with the audience. Mangaka Reiko Shimizu took to his Twitter account to share with the fans that he will be working on newer arcs for his manga. To build and compilate the story, he will have to take a break for ‘a few months.’ Thus, it is confirm that new arcs are coming in Himitsu Season 0. What Is The Manga About?
According to the official synopsis, the story of Himitsu Season 0 describes the anime to revolve around the themes of mystery and thrill. The story begins in the future of Japan five decades from now. The authoritarian government has imposed neural scanning processes on the common people. Under this system, the citizens must surrender their memories to the government. Even the dead people have to give away five years worth of memories to the government.
But with this invading system, the ethical norms must also be weighed. Officers at the National Research Institute of Police Science’s 9th Forensics Laboratory believe that their invention is getting misused in every shape and form. Thus, a brilliant story of a rebellion begins. Will the officers ever bring down the authoritarian system?
Himitsu Season 0: Release Date
For now, neither the author nor Hakusensha’s Melody magazine has confirmed the release date of the next volume. But judging by the pace at which mangaka Reiko Shimizu’s has released new arcs earlier, the manga would not be away for more than two to six months.
