Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures

The pilot season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures was a split cour anime. The first nine episodes dealt with the Phantom Blood arc, while the next one took on the Battle Tendency arc of the manga. After George Joestar takes Dio Brando under his guardianship after his father fails to pay a debt, he becomes a member of the Joestar family. After this family drama is left without a conclusion when Jonathan’s wife escapes, the story takes a long leap in the second part. In 1939, Battle Tendency saw a hunt for the stone called Super Aja.

Jonathan Joestar’s grandson Joseph teams up with Caesar Zeppeli, who is the grandson of Will. The only way they can defeat the Pillar Men is by using this stone. And so, the following seventeen episodes take up this plot.

Stardust Crusaders

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Stardust Crusaders is the second season that kicks off after an OVA. The story begins with another time leap. In the year 1983, Dio Brando comes back with more power as he possesses the body of Jonathan Joestar. However, it turns out that a similar manifestation has gone out of control, and Holly only has fifty days to live. Thus, all of the Joestar ancestors come back to fight Dio and save Holly from the manifestation. From the trip to Egypt to the final fight, Stardust Crusaders is a Joestar story.

Diamond Is Unbreakable

Diamond Is Unbreakable moves forward with the storyline after a few years of a leap. Sixteen years after the events of Stardust Crusaders, the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar, Josuke Higashikata, makes a return. It is revealed that something strange is happening in his hometown, Morioh. He finds out that a spare bow and arrow is causing people to gain insane Stand powers. Thus, it is upon Josuke to find this apparatus and stop the man from spreading such mad chaos.

Golden Wind

Another grandson of Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, takes center stage in Golden Wind. In the year 2001, the second generation of delinquents fought against one another. Jotaru Kujo gives a mission to Koichi Hirose to find Giorno Giovanna, who is the son of Dio Brando. However, Dio will let them touch his son. Still possessing the body of Jonathan Joestar, he creates all the hurdles for Koichi and Jotaru. The season also introduces Jean Pierre Polnareff for the first time in the story.

Stone Ocean

The fifth season of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure takes under a leap of ten years. The season skips the storyline of all the characters and takes a different route. This time, Jotaru Kujo’s daughter Jolyne Kujo (Cujoh) takes center stage. It turns out that Jolyne was framed for a murder that she did not commit. Thus, she has no will to spend the next fifteen years in prison. From the prison break to the life of a rogue, the entire journey of Jolyne is dissected in Stone Ocean.

Besides the five chronological seasons, JJBA has also released one movie and one OVA, namely, JJBA and Phantom Blood movie. Thankfully, both these editions are independent of the storyline of the series. Thus, fans can enjoy these outings at any time of the order. This concludes Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Watch Order. Hopefully, this article will be helpful the next time you begin watching the series.
