The plot of this anime follows three friends Yotsuya Yuusuke, Shindou, and Hakozaki, who are leading a normal life until something strange happens. Like most classic isekai anime, they also find themselves in a mysterious world where they must abide by the rules in order to survive. Here, the rule-maker is the Game Master.
The upcoming season is likely to follow the Island of Disasters arc, where these kids must fight against more powerful monsters. If we refer to the manga to look for further details, we can speculate that a new teammate will join our soldiers. Keita Torri is likely to be a new character in the next installment. Thus, their adventurous journeys will continue just as the last season.

The opening and credit theme songs of the inaugural season became very popular amongst the anime community.
