It took almost a year for In/Spectre Season 2 to return to the screens. Fans of the show had been waiting to watch the series ever since the last episode aired. Later in January 2020, the anime series was launched by Brain’s Base studio. The mystery story was loved by fans all over the world. Now, fans are looking forward to the second season.
In/Spectre Season 2: New Trailer & Production Updates
The announcement of the second season was boosted by the release of a brand-new trailer. The new promotional video showcases the announcement of the sequel in several slides. It also showcases Kuro and Kotoko amid an incredible battle. So far, the fans are loving the new look of the series.
So, judging by the fact that In/Spectre Season 2 already has an animated trailer, it can be assumed that the series is already undergoing animation. In most cases, trailers do not have animated pieces from the upcoming season. Here, it is safe to say that the sequel has already begun animation work at Studio Brain’s Base.
Cast & Crew Updates
The official update by the makers reveals that the entire cast of the pilot is returning back for the second season. Thus, the cast of In/Spectre Season 2 includes Akari Kitō in the main role of Kotoko Iwanaga. Mamoru Miyano will be playing Kurō Sakuragawa. Kenji Hamada will be voicing Detective Terada. Other cast members include Mayumi Sako as Rikka Sakuragawa, Misato Fukuen as Saki Yumihara and Sumire Uesaka as Karin Nanase.
The staff of In/Spectre Season 2 includes Keiji Gotoh as the director of the series. Along with him, Nonoru Takagi is returning as the writer for the second season. Moreover, Takatoshi Honda will be handling the character designing department. He is also the chief animation director on the project.
In/Spectre Season 2: Release Date
For the time being, there has been no update on the solid release schedule of In/Spectre Season 2. However, the makers have confirmed that the show will return sometime in 2022. Judging by the early production, fans can expect to see the release in the early months of the upcoming year. The Winter 2022 slate seems appropriate for the release.
