Serina is a student at Maigahara Senior High. The famous academy hosts budding musicians with promising talent. Unfortunately, though a passionate artist, Serina is falling behind her grades. Luckily she hears a rumor that can help her. The rumor claims those who perform well at the annual festival, will get special extra credit. So, Serina doesn’t waste a minute forming a band to get her grades back. The band is her only hope of getting better grades.
Iridorimidori Anime was born out of Sega’s Chunithm game. It is an original band that is part of the popular game. So, the short anime series centers around the daily life of the girls. The story will look at their origins, motives, and journey of becoming the famous band they are today. The show draws its story from the franchise’s manga and audio drama.

Iridorimidori Anime is based on Sega’s famous game, Chunithm. It is a rhythm arcade game that launched in 2015. The concept of the anime is based on the in-game girl band of the same name. The short anime series will focus on the girl band’s origin story. The original cast of the band will resume their roles in the anime. So, the main cast of the anime includes Emi Nitta, Ayaka Fukuhara, Ayano Yamamoto, Kaoru Sakura, and M.A.O.
Frontwing unveiled the staff for Iridorimidori in an announcement on December 10. The report confirmed Chihaya Tanaka as the show’s director. And that Akatsuki Studio of the High School Fleet fame is animating the series. In addition, Rei Ishikura will join Tanaka as a series composer. Moreover, Takeshi Sato and Kaori Goto will work on character designs.

Iridorimidori Anime: Release Date
Frontwing released the staff and launch date for the anime in a press release. The report revealed that Iridorimidori will premiere on Tokyo MX and AT-X. The anime will launch on Tokyo MX on January 5, 2022, at 1:00 a.m JST. In addition, the show will launch on AT-X on January 6, 2022, at 10:00 p.m. JST.
