Is Kageki Shojo!! returning as an anime? Yes, you can celebrate. Ever since the original manga halt serialization back in 2019, people were desperate to hear any news related to it. Well, the wait is finally over now. This is because the anime adaptation is about to come out soon. Moreover, key details about the castings and story are also out. Kumiko Saiki’s masterpiece Kageki Shojo is almost a decade-old Japanese manga series. The three-part manga ran from 2012 to March 2019. Moreover, the original text also got a nomination for the Best Shōjo Manga in Kodansha’s 44th annual Manga Awards. Now, Pine Jam Studios is coming with an anime adaptation that will follow the story of Kageki Shoujo!! Season Zero manga. So, let us find out more about the new show.
Kageki Shojo!! Anime: Plot Details
The anime’s official website also shared the synopsis of the new show along with other details. The synopsis says that the plot will follow Watanabe Sarasa, whose only aim in life is to become a successful otokoyaku (a female actor who can play male characters). However, Narata Ai is her only competition on the way. The two women have the same goal, but none of them wish to step down. Thus, a beautiful story of passion and hard work begins.
Kageki Shojo!! contains a beautiful stage and plenty of theatrical scenes that will stay with you for a long time. Moreover, the internal conflicts of the females in a male world are also shown. Thus, Kageki Shojo!! anime will be more than just a binge for you; it will be an experience.
Cast, Crew, And New Visuals
Previously, when the anime adaptation was announced, a list of major casting names was also revealed. Now, more names are out, along with the release date. Firstly, in lead role of Sarasa Watanabe and Ai Narata, Sayaka Senbongi and Yumiri Hanamori will be seen. Moreover, Sumire Uesaka is playing Sugimoto. Kana Hanazawa will be playing Hijiri Nojima. Lastly, other casting names include Kenji Nojima as Taichi Narata, Takehito Koyasu as Kōsaburō Shirakawa and Kengo Takanashi as Akiya Shirakawa.
As for the staff members, Kazuhiro Yoneda is the director of the show. Besides him, Tadashi Morishita will be the scriptwriter. Moreover, Tsuneyoshi Saito will be the music composer. Takahiro Kishida is looking after the character designs of the anime. Lastly, Band Saji’s single “Hoshi no Orchestra” will be the show’s opening theme song. Kageki Shojo!! Anime: Release Date
It’s good news from Studio Pine Jam because the anime adaptation of this beautiful story is almost here. Kageki Shojo!! Anime adaptation is all set to release next month on July 3, 2021. The show will get a television release on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, and HTB. Thus, we will have to wait for a few more months for a digital release date.
