On the next day, she gave the letter to her in school. The episode then marked the entry of Shisuto Naruse into the story. The moment he entered the school, he decided that Komi was going to be his best friend.
But when he saw that Komi already had a number of friends in the class, he decided to walk out immediately. Much later, Tadano asks Komi where she wants to go with him to Kyoto. When the two of them walked home together, Komi told Tadano that she was scared of being left out on the field trip. Thus, she wanted him to stay by her side at all times.
