It’s merely been a month since Crunchyroll dropped the finale of the first run, and fans are clamoring to know more about Love After World Domination Season 2. Well, Project No. 9, the studio house behind the anime series, hasn’t yet revealed any updates regarding the next season. But the first season gained enough popularity that’s sufficient for Project No. 9 to return with season two. So let’s see will Love After World Domination Season 2 will return.
Love After World Domination is inspired by Hiroshi Noda’s Japanese manga series. The anime adaptation was announced back in May 2021. It was produced by Project No. 9 while Kazuya Iwata directed it. Satoru Sugizawa had worked on the scripts. The anime first launched on the Japanese local network on April 8, 2022, and later Crunchyroll dropped the English dub on April 22.
Love After World Domination Season 2: Renewal Status!
The first season concluded on June 24, 2022, and since then, fans haven’t heard anything about Love After World Domination Season 2. Project No. 9 has remained mum regarding the future of the series. However, the series gained a positive response. Further, the studio hasn’t canceled the show either. Thus we can expect that soon Project No. 9 will renew Love After World Domination Season 2.
Is There Enough Source Material?
Hiroshi Noda’s manga series began serializing in Monthly Shonen Magazine in November 2019. It has five tankobon volumes so far. The first season covered up to Volume 4 Chapter 24, which means only one volume is left to explore. Considering this, we expect that Love After World Domination Season 2 will also need four volumes to produce the next season. Although there isn’t enough source material, we expect that author will return with more volumes in the future. Otherwise, Project No. 9 can develop a feature film that will give perfect closure to the series.

As of now, Project No. 9 has yet to renew Love After World Domination for the second run. But the first season gained a positive response from the series fans all around the globe. It resulted in an increase in the rating and viewership of the series. The anime scored 7.48/10 on MyAnimeList, 7.2/10 on IMDb, 4.9/5 on Crunchyroll, 3.7/5 on Anime Planet, and 73% on Anilist. Further, it secured a seventh place on AniTrenz’s Spring Slate’s Top Anime.
The score was higher on MAL, which helped increase the sales of the manga series. The viewers called it a sweet and light-hearted series. “Good animation” and a brilliant storyline burst with energy from every corner. Further, because of its huge cliffhanger, we hope that Love After World Domination Season 2 will return.
Story So Far!
Previously in Love After World Domination Episode 12, Fudo told Desumi that he was selected for a wedding commercial. In which he had to cut the cake with a famous idol. But she didn’t like it and told him to reject this offer. Instead of understanding her emotions, Fudo called her selfish. When she left, Arisugawa talked about her pain to Fudo. Elsewhere, an Ultimate Phantom appeared. The monster absorbed the negative energy. The monster was strong and absorbed others’ powers.
After it escaped the Bosslar, it attacked the commercial ad shoot. Although Fudo saved everyone, he failed to save the cake he made for Desumi. Soon Beast, Gelato 5, and Steel arrived to fight the monster. But their powers did not affect the Phantom. So Big Gelato told Fudo they could defeat the Phantom if they combined the Gelato 5 weapons into a sword. Soon Desumi arrived and saw Fudo’s cake. She helped him hold the Claymore and sliced the Phantom. Later she left him with a promise to see each other again.
Love After World Domination Season 2: What Will Happen Next?
Daigo-Niichan will discuss his trauma, and by the trauma, he means Desumi. He can’t find a way to escape from her sight. She appears everywhere he goes. That frustrates him a lot. He tries to escape from her but fails. However, it wasn’t Desumi fault. Daigo is only traumatized by the past when he and Desumi used to train Dojo. He visited the place. It is now converted into a parking lot.
But to his surprise, Fudo and Desumi spot him there and insist he joins them. They are heading to see the town together. Despite Daigo’s plea Fudo and Desumi convince him to join them. They reach the aquarium, where Daigo tries to escape, but a group of kids finds his true identity from his disguise. But after spending a few hours with them, Daigo started liking it. But unfortunately, Desumi’s father and siblings arrive when they prepare for a fight and ask Desumi and Fudo to stay with them.
Love After World Domination Season 2: Release Date
Love After World Domination has yet to renew. As mentioned earlier, the manga series has only five volumes, so we can expect that Love After World Domination Season 2 will take almost three to four years to return until the author returns with more chapters.
