Since the first announcement, fans have been excited for Moriarty The Patriot OVA Episode 1 as they want to see more content about the leads. The official website for the anime series recently began streaming an ad for the series’ OVA project. Bringing a new twist in the old story of Sherlock Holmes, the anime series rose to high popularity among crime and mystery genre fans. Ryosuke Takeuchi is the author, and Hikaru Miyoshi is the artist of “Moriarty The Patriot” manga series. Shueisha published the story in their Jump Square magazine in August 2016. The series is still ongoing and has 16 bound volumes so far. In 2020, Production I. G. adapted the series into a television anime series. Kazuya Nomura was the director. Go Zappa and Taku Kishimoto was in charge of the scripts. The anime ran till June 2021 with 24 episodes. Now, the OVA is awaited.

Moriarty The Patriot OVA Episode 1 is titled “Yuri no Tsuioku” or “Recollection of Lily”. This one is an original episode that is not there in the manga series. The story is about a rich nobleman, Baron George Cubid, who is a famous painter. He uses the lily picture a lot in his work. In a British city, Bath, someone ruins his best painting. The story follows what happens after this one event and how the Moriarty family gets into it. Fans are wondering they are the ones responsible for ruining the painting or if they will be going after whoever did it. Ad Teaser Released!
The official website for the anime series released an ad teaser that gave fans a look at Moriarty The Patriot OVA Episode 1. In the 16-second ad video, fans can see a frame of the ruined painting in Bath. Fans also caught a glimpse of Sherlock Holmes, which suggests that there will be more meetings between them. However, there is no way of knowing if they have to work together to solve the case or if it will, again be, a cat and mouse game between them.
Things also seem a bit relaxing as fans see a shot of the brothers enjoying a hot bath. The other guest stars are, Hirofumi Nojima and Atsumi Tanezaki. Lastly, the ad ends with the release date for the BluRay Disc and DVDs. Moreover, the second episode is supposed to be a Moriarty Family Holiday or a Tea Party. Fans are excited to see all the siblings together and are hoping that it will be a cute and relaxing episode.
Moriarty The Patriot OVA Episode 1: Release Date
The Blu-ray Disc and DVD will ship on April 27, 2022. It will also include exclusive character illustration sheets and a sleeve case. Moreover, Moriarty The Patriot OVA Episode 1 will get a special screening on March 5, 2022, at the Nakano Sun Plaza.
