Junta Shima created Murai In Love, and it was published first in the Line manga service. Shima published the manga series under Kadokawa’s Gene Line label back in June 2018. Later the same publishing house released the seventh compiled book volume on Wednesday.

Junta Shima’s Murai In Love’s official Twitter account has recently dropped amazing news that will leave fans in awe. On Wednesday, the Twitter page revealed that the manga is getting an anime. Well, the manga has already inspired a live-action series of eight episodes. It ran from April 6 to May 25 on TBS. After the hit series, the manga series returns with its own anime. But, it didn’t reveal who would be in the anime and when it would start its production work.
Murai In Love: Production Details
As mentioned above, the studio has yet to announce when the anime will go under production. Well, we can expect that the animation studio will start working on Murai In Love during spring. Typically, the animated series takes ten to twelve months to finish making. So we expect that Murai In Love will also take the same time and might wrap up production next year.

The manga focuses on the titular character Murai, a high school boy who falls for his teacher Tanaka. However, she rejects the proposal that was leaving him in a vulnerable state. But later, he learns that Tanaka is a fan of otome games for girls. So he decides to change himself. The next day he appears in a new style and hair, all emulating her favorite character. Now he’s on his quest to become her dream man.

As of now, the anime series has yet to undergo production. So it seems like it will take some time to return on the screen.
