The Mushoku Tensei franchise originally began as a light novel series by Rifujin na Magonote. This 2012 novel was adapted into a light novel and then a manga in 2014. In January 2021, Studio Bind took up a two-part anime adaptation project. The first part ends on the eleventh episode making the twelfth one the inaugural episode of the next part.

As per the official synopsis, Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation tells the story of a 34-year-old who had been living his life in vain. But at the time of his death, he managed to save a young child from a car accident. This leads to the heavenly authorities believing that he deserves a second chance at life. Thus, the man is reborn as the warrior named Rudeus Greyrat. Hence, the man begins his life as a baby and grows to become one of the strongest warriors in the kingdom.
Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2 is likely to continue the plot from where it left in the first part. The new season will feature the much-awaited meeting of Rudeus and the empress of the Demon Continent. Since Rudeus is finally a part of Ronoa Magic University, he will be also meet Sylphiette once again. New arcs are coming in for Rudeus, and fans only have to sit and enjoy the chaos of Ronoa Magic University.

Along with the announcement of the release date, the makers also confirmed the names of the team that will be working on the project. All of the cast members of the anime are reprising their roles for the second part. The main cast of the show includes Yumi Uchiyama in the lead role of Rudeus. Konomi Kohara will be playing the part of Roxy. Ai Kakuma is playing Eris. Moreover, Daisuke Namikawa is playing the part of Ruijerd.
In the staff team, filmmaker Manabu Okamoto is returning as the director of the series. Kazutaka Sugiyama will be handling the character designing department. Moreover, Yuiko Ōhara, who was responsible for the entire music department of the show, is returning for the second part. Lastly, Studio Bind and EGG FIRM will be handling the production.

According to the official website of the anime, Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2 will release on October 3, 2021. The new part will be available on Tokyo MX, KBS, Kyoto, and BS11 networks. Moreover, Funimation will be streaming the anime after the television premiere ends its course.
