In the 990th episode of One Piece, Yamato arrived to save Luffy from Page One and Ulti. All the members of the Straw Hats were stunned to see Kaido’s son battling their own men. Yamato continued to mock and tease Kaido’s men as they could not catch the new intruder. Later, Ulti and Page One asked Luffy about his real identity. To this, he iterated his true name. Luffy declared his name with pride and announced that he was going to be the next Pirate King.
Later, Page One, Ulti, and Luffy get into an epic battle. At first, Luffy struggled to fight with the two of them at the same time. But he ultimately managed to take them both down. At one point, Ulti almost caught Luffy in her arms. And just when she was about to snap his neck, Yamato charged the Thunder Bagua at her. By the end of the episode, Luffy escaped the battle with Yamato, and the latter revealed to Luffy that he was Kaido’s son.
