Platinum End Anime was first announced by Pony Canyon in December 2020 at the Jump Fiesta Event. It is the original work of Death Note writer Tsugumi Ohba and Bakuman illustrator Takeshi Obata. The manga ran successfully from November 2015 to January 2021. Now, Studio Signal MD is finally culminating a 24-episode anime series for an early release. Yet, he still feels a deep sense of unfamiliarity and alienation. This ultimately leads to the boy deciding to quit life altogether. The real story of Platinum End Anime begins in the afterlife, where Kakehashi meets his angel. What follows is a wonderful story of hope and thrill.
