Platinum End Episode 19: What Will Happen Next?
The upcoming release of Platinum End will begin with a demonstration of Gaku’s instructions. Mirai and the other God candidates have heard what Muni, the angel of Destruction, has said amidst air. Hence, it is likely that the group prepares a monologue depicting the things they are willing to do once they become God. Moreover, Mirai and Nakaumi might have a showdown for the seat of God.
In addition, the group has switched sides from Mirai to Nakaumi as their willing participant for God. However, everyone seems to have their reasons. It is notable that Mirai and Nakaumi have different sets of ideals. While Mirai wants to help the distressed people, Nakaumi is willing to let them die if they desire to commit suicide. Plus, it is constantly hinted that the angels are hiding way too many secrets. Many speculations argue that there might be a higher authority above God. Lastly, the newest addition to the series, Gaku, may have found the ulterior motives behind the angel’s every move.

Episode 18 of Platinum End finds Temari finally escaping the government employees. She uses her three red arrows to manipulate the guards into guiding her towards the exit. Later, she meets the other God candidates, all assembled in the forest. The scene shifts to a huge crowd screaming for Mirai to be the next God. While all the candidates accumulate at Masaya Hoshi’s residence. They discuss who to assign as the next God. Mirai states that he is unwilling to leave the power of white and red arrows with the God candidates after he becomes God.
This leads the group to soon shift from Mirai to Nakaumi as their willing choice. After conclusive voting, Nakaumi scores the majority. Finally, the series introduces Gaku Yoneda, a university professor, as the last God candidate. The group decides to talk to him, but he has a few conditions for Mirai and others to fulfill first. He sent Muni to display his words. Apparently, Gaku wishes to know what Mirai and others wish to do once securing the position of God.

The way the four God candidates switched their sides for their own personal advantage, it is likely they might do it again.
