Medical manga fans are going to be thrilled with the latest news break of this week. Their favorite medical drama is finally getting a Live-Action Film. With its soft art, medical arena, intriguing plot, and charming characters, the series captivated the fans. Now, The Radiation House Live-Action Film is finally ready with a release window. The announcement comes as the live-action series’ second season continues to air. So, here is everything to know about the next film of the franchise.
Mori Taishi and Tokomaku Tomohiro are the original creators of the manga. In 2015, Shueisha’s Jump published and serialized the ongoing text. The manga has eleven volumes compiled so far. And the 12th volume is on its way. Additionally, there is also a 2019 live-action series based on the text. Fuji TV is airing the second season of the live-action series, and it is available on streaming platforms. However, there has been no anime counterpart so far.
Radiation House Live-Action: Official Announcement!
The Radiation House’s Twitter Account made an official announcement with the movie’s release date. Along with the reveal, a new poster was also posted by the account. The visual highlighted the lead actor Kubota Masataka with the title of the film. So, Suzuki Masayuki is the director for The Radiation House Live-Action Film. Moreover, Okita Haruka is writing the script. And TOHO will be distributing the film.
In addition to this, the main cast from the live-action series will be returning for the film. Kubota Masataka will be reprising his role as Igarashi Iori. Besides, Honda Tsubasa will be coming back as Amakasu An. Other cast members will also reprise their roles in the new venture.
Plot Details!
The Radiation House live-action film is based on a manga of the same name. The story is about Igarashi Iori, who is a talented radiology technician. Since he was young, he has always been in love with Amakasu An. It turns out that An’s family owned a hospital. Thus, he works there to be around her. But Amakasu doesn’t recognize him because he is just a technician. Igarashi wanted to confess his feelings to her but could not. The only areas he shines in are when he is working.
On the other hand, An is under a lot of pressure from her family. She has to work day in and out at the labs of the hospital. So, the story follows the cases of the hospital and the radiology department. This includes different kinds of people and the drama surrounding them. The series displayed the everyday struggles of the employees of a hospital. Now, it will be interesting to see what drama brews in the new movie.
