Inspired by So-ma-to’s Japanese manga series, Shadows House follows a dark world. The manga started serializing in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump. The prequel covered the first six volumes. CloverWorks animated it while Kazuki Ohashi directed it. In October 2020, the studio ordered the series, and it began airing on April 11, 2021.
Shadows House Season 2 Episode 1: What Will Happen Next?
Numerous Shadow House live in a grand and dark mansion. But, they are attended by their Living Doll partners. They are bound to clean the soot their masters emit. Each Shadow master has their own Living Dolls. They act as their servants. Both master and doll have identical silhouettes. They only differ in their clothes and face. Soon Kate learns that the Living Dolls are humans. They have been abducted from a small village called Mirrorside Village, which is near the Shadows House.
Since Shadows House helps produce charcoal that helps produce energy sources for the village, the villagers believe it is bliss to send their children to work there. The school also helps to train the children. But Emilico sees the world differently. Emilico is the youngest girl in the mansion. She’s a cheerful Living Doll. She’s glad to serve her mistress Kate. But as they continue to bond, they slowly learn about the various event and dark secrets of the house. Kate will continue exploring the dark truth. She will also help Emilico undo her brainwashing and free everyone.

Yu Sasahara will give voice to Emilico, Kodai Sakai to Shaun, and Ayane Sakura to Lou in the second season. Reiji Kawashima will join as Ricky, Shino Shimoji as Rum, and Saori Onishi as Mia. Additionally, Mai Nakahara will give voice to Rosemary, Rie Kugimiya to Barbie, and Akari Kito to Kate Mirror. Kodai Sakai will join as John, Ayane Sakura as Louise, and Reiji Kawashima as Patrick. Shino Shimoji as Shirley will also join Saori Onishi as Sarah and Mai Nakahara as Maryrose.
Apart from them, Rie Kugimiya will join as Barbara and Rumi Okubo as Isabelle and Mirabelle. Besides them, Wataru Hatano will give voice to Edward, Yui Horie to Aileen, and Takeo Otsuka to Gerald. Daisuke Kishio will join as Ryan, Yoko Hikasa as Dorothy, Kenta Miyake as Joseph, and Yumiri Hanamori as Sophie. Kazuki Ohashi directed the anime while Toshiya Ono wrote it.
Shadows House Season 2 Episode 1: Premiere Date
Back in early January, the studio confirmed in a press release that Shadows House Season 2 would be part of the Summer lineup. Soon the anime’s Twitter page confirmed that Shadows House Season 2 would air on July 8, 2022. For international fans, the anime will be available on Crunchyroll as well as Funimation. Stay tuned.
