After the huge success of its first installment, Shaman King Season 2 has finally been confirmed! The makers did not take too long for the official announcement, as it came soon after the release of the final episode. The first delivered 52 episodes in total and covered all of the manga. Thus, another season had to bring out fresh material for another season. The series found an April 2021 release and continued till April of this year. Shaman King originally came out on July 4, 2001, and continued till September 25, 2002. The series launched 64 episodes during its run. Soon, the series was renewed for a 2021 release. The 2021 version has released 52 episodes up till now. The show is based on a manga of the same name. The text is written and illustrated by Hiroyuki Takei. It has 35 volumes which the franchise has soaked up in its anime adaption. However, it also has five spin-offs under its name that are yet to be animated.
Shaman King Season 2 Confirmed: Official Announcement!
The news broke out through the official Twitter account of Shaman King PR. The tweet shared details about the show getting a sequel and the plot that it will follow in its next pursuit. However, to fans much dislike, a release window did not follow the description. Soon after the release of the final episode, the makers confirmed Shaman King Season 2. The comments on the post have been very positive up till now. However, some fans state that they miss the original aesthetic of the 2001 piece.
According to the shared post, the next season will follow the plot of Shaman King: Flowers. It is a spin-off manga from the same creator as the original series. The text has six volumes and 29 chapters in total. The plot will revolve around Asakura Hana, almost 16 years after the Shaman Fight. Hana has turned out to be very unruly and does not do any school work. However, right when Yohane and Luca aim to kill Hana and his father, Yoh, the child turns to the Flowers of Maize. Thus, the upcoming season will feature many intense fights once again.
Shaman King Season 2: Release Date
Unfortunately, the release date for the upcoming installment has not been out yet. But the fans shall not worry since the coming months will surely bring in all of these details. Considering that Studio Bridge begins production around the end of May, then fans can expect Shaman King Season 2 around early or mid-2023. Currently, the series is available on Netflix.
