Summer Time Rendering Episode 9 will finally reveal why Ushio is helping others to fight with Mother Shadow. Shadow-Mei learned about Shinpei’s presence in the previous episode and started attacking him. But Ushio came to the rescue that left Mei bewildered. She demanded some answers, and Ushio’s statement surprised everyone.

Summer Time Rendering Episode 9: What Will Happen Next?
After learning that Ushio had brought Nagumo back to the island, they decided to treat her arm. But it disappeared. The following day Sou learned about Ushio’s presence and freaked out for a moment. Later they saw the video that was recorded on her death. The video will finally explore the last moment of Ushio and give them some information about Ushio’s past. Further, it remains a mystery about how Ushio connected with Nagumo and why she never turned evil like other Shadows.
It looks like things are far more twisted than it seems. Nagumo will work on the voice mail that Ushio sent her. They will try to find some clues from it. Meanwhile, the group will head to save other Shadows before Mother Shadow appears and destroy everything. They need to act quickly, and now that Shou knows about Ushio’s presence, he will try to find out why she’s helping them.

In Summer Time Rendering Episode 8, Shinpei noted that Shadow-Ushio appeared before her time. She still remembered the previous loop and wanted to stop all the deaths. Shadow-Ushio hid in Mio’s room; he poked her shadow when she ate. Shinpei was ready to destroy her but wasn’t able to do so. As for Ushio, she accidentally disappeared her clothes and later wore Shinpei’s spare clothes. Later she learned that she couldn’t revive like other Shadows.
Meanwhile, Shadow-Mio entered the room and attacked Shinpei, but Ushio shielded him. So Shadow-Mio stabbed Ushio’s shadow, injured her arm, and asked why she betrayed them. So she confronted that she loved Shinpei. Later Nezu appeared and shot Shadow-Mio with a sniper rifle. It borrowed Shinpei some time to destroy her shadow. Nagumo entered and tried to destroy Ushio, but Shinpei pleaded for her life. Later Nagumo realized that Ushio had brought her to the island.
