The previous episode of Takagi-San started on New Year’s Day, Nishikata was spending his day at the shrine. To his surprise, Takagi was also present at the same place. Just to spend some time, Takagi proposes that they play the game of fortunes, which Takagi wins clearly. When they head outside, there was snow all around in the area. Takagi wanted to make snowmen, thus Nishikata also joined the activity. It was a competition that Nishikata ended up losing once again.
Back at the school, all the students met after a long break. Taka met with Kimura and asked what he did all winter. On the other side, Yukari, Mina, Sanar and talked about how the vacation went. In the later part of the episode, confusion about a certain birthday happened. Towards the end of the episode, both of them ended up apologizing to one another.
