The news broke out through the official Twitter account of Netflix Geeked. The tweet shared details about the upcoming Tekken anime and also revealed the main lead for the fans. The tweet also hints at the plot of the upcoming release. Soon the fans were met with an official trailer release on Youtube. Moreover, a few characters have also come across while Leroy Smith’s addition to the series has raised many eyebrows. Till now, the fans have only left positive comments for the anime series.
It is worth mentioning that the franchise has always dealt in other mediums for Entertainment purposes. The video game got its anime adaption into an OVA series in January 1998 and soon got its live-action adaption in November 2009. Finally, another animated film titled Tekken: Blood Vengeance was released in July 2011. On the other hand, Tekken 7 is the latest available version of the video game that came back in 2015. What Is The Plot?
According to the trailer, Tekken anime will find Jin Kazama as the protagonist of the series. Moreover, it becomes clear that Jin’s mother, Jun Kazama taught him self-defense martial arts. However, as confirmed by many fans, Jin’s grandfather will turn out to be the great villain of the story.
In addition, the trailer also introduced many characters in the series. Some names include Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima, Leroy Smith, King, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, and Ogre. As per the game, the series offers Jin Kazama of Tekken 3, who later gets replaced by Kazuya Mishima. In the series, it is likely that Jin will aim for the global contest to ensure a prize that will achieve him control.
