The last episode, ‘Hands upon a nightmare’, finally showed the true form of Naenia. The huge reveal shocked all the fans and raised many questions about her. The episode did not reveal much about her story. So, the coming episodes might tease more information about her past.
The Case Study Of Vanitas Part 2 Episode 6: Plot Details!
The next episode will continue the rescue mission of Chloe and Jean-Jacques. After entrusting the villagers to Roland, Vanitas and Noe rush back to reach the castle to save Chloe and Jean-Jacques. The chain of events causes Jeanne to enter a dream-like state where she remembers killing Chloe. Vanitas will shoulder the burden of trying to stop Jeanne from killing Chloe. The next episode will answer if Chloe will be saved or if she will die.
The last episode has finally revealed that Naenia is the malnomen of Queen Faustina. However, it did not reveal how the queen ended up as Naenia. The coming episodes will shed more light on the entity. They will explain the reason behind her collecting the names of vampires. Vanitas, who held back the information about Queen Faustina, will clear up everything with Noe.

The fifth episode opened with a confident Chloe trying to kill Naenia. Naenia has attained a solid form and withers in pain as the vampire begins to strangle her. Chloe reveals that even though the people hate her, it is her duty to protect them. So, she will not hurt them, but she will hurt Naenia for what she did to Jean- Jacques. Back inside, Vanitas warns Chloe that she cannot kill Naenia. He adds that if she provokes Naenia further, she will remember her true self, but Chloe does not listen.
Naenia begins cracking and breaks apart to reveal a beautiful, regal-looking woman. Noe then learns that Naenia is the malnomen of the Vampire Queen Faustina, the first vampire under the crimson moon. Chloe is stunned and paralyzed in the presence of Faustina. Faustina grabs Chloe and kisses the vampire. The others watch in horror as a black liquid begins to seep out of Chloe’s mouth. Faustina then drops Chloe and dodges the attacks of Jean-Jacques. Soon Gevaudan begins shaking and rumbling. The alternate engine breaks, and Faustina returns to being Naenia.
Naenia then smiles and remembers she must collect names and vanishes. A flashback scene shows Jeanne and her past. Her adopted parents betray the vampires and get beheaded. She is then forced to become a bourreau as punishment. Lord Ruthven takes her under his care and forces her to sleep the war off. However, she has to wake up and kill Chloe. Gevaudan is broken into pieces and is scattered. Roland and his team help to rescue the villagers.
