The newest addition to the action-fantasy series is called the Dragon’s Judgment. The manga ran for eight years, from 2012 to 2020, and is the original creation of Nakaba Suzuki. Since the fourth season ends in chapter 267 of Nakaba Suzuki’s manga, we can expect the next one to follow the storyline ahead of chapter 268. Moreover, as per the source material, only the last 79 chapters of the manga are remaining. If adapted, the story might not have another season. However, Studios often call in writers to continue an account if the demand rises. So, there is still hope for season 6.
The makers reveal the story to revolve around the members of the Seven Deadly Sins who are going to face the biggest enemy of their life. Now, Meliodas, Elizabeth, Hawk, Van, and the others must buckle up because this is a do-or-die situation. This is the final showdown for our heroes. Either the ‘war from hell’ will break out, or the Seven Deadly Sins will give in their all.
What’s Next After The Fifth Season?
While the source material only has 79 chapters to lend for adaptation, there are high chances of another season. The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 only uses 31 chapters from the manga. If the same applies to the current season, there might be another installment that we can enjoy somewhere around mid-2023. Moreover, Nakaba Suzuki is working on another part of his manga, reports WhatsOnNetflix. In fact, he plans to lend his work to Netflix for further adaptations. However, there is still time until an official word comes out. There is only a wait for now.
The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5: Release Date
The Seven Deadly Sins Season 5 finally has a solid release date for the west. The anime series will begin streaming on Netflix from June 28, 2021. The streaming giant will be providing both English dub and subtitled version of Dragon’s Judgment. So, if your subscription is about to expire soon, then recharge it till the end of this month because late streaming is not an otaku thing to do.
