Vinland Saga: Sentai Filmworks Brings Home Videos!
Sentai Filmworks, popularly known for distributing anime on a global scale, is now ready to work with the Vinland Saga. The company took to its official website to share that they are acquiring the licensing of home video distribution of the Vinland Saga. The company also shares that the home videos will be up for global sale by this summer itself. The videos will be available in two separate editions- standard and collector.
However, a definite date has not been announced yet. It is expected that the home videos will be ready for pre-orders by the initial weeks of June. This reboot is a good ploy by WIT Studios to retain the relevance of the anime until a new season comes out. Moreover, this will also boost the sales of the manga.
Vinland Saga Season 2: Renewal Plans
There have been several instances in the past year that point towards the comeback of Vinland Sagas. One of them was the character drawings shared by director Shuhei Yabuta on Twitter. Moreover, the pictures mention ‘Sea Son Two’ as a caption. Similarly, a post by animation director Abiru Takahiko attracted many eyeballs as he mentioned his ‘busy’ schedule. Fans believe that Abiru is actually working on the sequel of Vinland Saga.
Moreover, only the first 52 chapters from the manga were taken up in the anime. This means that there is still source material for multiple seasons. Earlier, there was a buzz that Vinland Sagas season 2 would come out in April 2021. But the pandemic gave a push ahead to the course. Thus, it’s only a matter of time until the makers decide to make the news of renewal official.
