Meanwhile, other explainers would argue that their shows are not even comparable. Well, this explainer stands with the latter argument.

The anime industry has a large plethora of shows that deal with a variety of concepts. If some shows are playing around with a common genre, things are bound to coincide. That cannot imply that the shows are similar in any way. Jujutsu Kaisen And Naruto are also victims of the same case. So, here are all the reasons by these two shows are different.

Spoiler Warning: The following sub-heads contain spoilers from Naruto, Boruto, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

The Fighting Styles

One of the biggest differences that set both these shows apart is the styles of fighting in these shows. The predominant concept of Naruto has remained to be ninja fights. By definition, ninja derives from the martial arts fighting style of ninjutsu. However, in the case of JK, The characters use cursed techniques to fight spirits and espers. Time Variance

Another big difference between the two shows is their timelines. Neither of these shows is set in a similar time period. Originally, Naruto dates back to the early shonen days. The times were older and simpler. On top of that, the history of the protagonist is also quite old as his lineage follows a chain of generations. In the case of Jujutsu Kaisen, the world is set in the 21st century. Almost all luxuries of technology are available in the world around Yuuji Itadori. Hence, the two shows cannot be compared on a common spectrum.

Kurama & Sukuna

One of the most common arguments that the other side gives is the similarity between Sukuna and Kurama. It is said that both the protagonists of these shows have a monster contained inside of them. On the surface, this argument is more than fair. However, right from the origin to their end, nothing can be compared between the two. Kurama was a legendary monster that was contained within Naruto for the protection of humanity. Moreover, only the Ying (good) part of the monster was stored inside of him.

Meanwhile, in the case of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna was the infamous high-class spirit that was waiting to regenerate back into a body. Kurama was an inseparable part of Naruto. Here, Sukuna was a monster that rather controlled Yuuji’s body.

The Rules of Death

Right in the beginning of Jujutsu Kaisen, fans saw that Yuuji was killed during one of their expeditions with his classmates. However, in a matter of a single episode, he was revived by Sukuna again. Even though his return is a piece of welcoming news, it simply dilutes the idea of death. Megumi has also come back from the dead. However, there is no coming back if a character dies in Naruto. Very recently, Kurama had died in the series. Death in Naruto is an absolute event. One cannot return back after facing death once.

Gojo & Kakashi

In broad strokes, Satoru Gojo and Kakashi are similar characters. The mentor figure in the protagonist’s life is almost the same. However, there is nothing common between these two characters. Kakashi has remained to be a more cold and composed personality. Meanwhile, Saturo is much cooler and lenient with his students. Thus, this difference also sets apart Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen.
