Lady told them all about the working of the Windmill of Time. Their goal was to reach the well and travel into the modern world and save it from the incoming Comet. But the Beast King also dreamt of a similarly heroic act. Kirinmaru told his daughter that she could go to the modern era in the body of Towa. But when the beast finally did it, Riku called a rebellion against him.
He claimed that he would happily sacrifice himself for the sake of Towa. Meanwhile, the twins successfully pass the test put forth by their dog-demon mother. Thus, the gateway to the modern era opened up. Watching this, Kirinmaru also asked Osamu Kirin to use the Windmill of Time to get him to the Modern Era. The episode came to an end with Towa also getting into the portal and promising her mother that she would come back.
