Will There Be More Seasons?

The only way one looks into the possibilities of more seasons is by assessing the reception and the source material of the anime. For a start, 86 Eighty Six has been one of the top five best anime of the year 2021. And this series stands strong in the league of anime series like One Piece, My Hero Academia and Boruto. Thus, there can be no doubts about demands for the third season after 86 Eighty-Six Season 1 Part 2. As for the source material, the first season covers the story of the first volume of the manga.

Moreover, the second season will likely have the same number of episodes as its predecessor. Thus, the sequel might also roughly cover one complete volume. The manga, in total, has ten volumes and one spin-off manga. Thus, there is more than enough source material to commence not only a third but a fourth and fifth season. Additionally, it is only a matter of time before a new season is announced after an understandable break post the second cour.
