Shinta Fuji is the original creator of the series. He launched the light novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in January 2019. The latest update on the series was in September 2020. Kadokawa’s MF Books has been publishing novels in print ever since September 2019. The manga adaptation also came about in September 2019.

The official website for the anime began releasing character videos as introductions. The character Nick was introduced on Tuesday. A character visual was also released. The visual pictured Nick with his obsession with Agate. Yusuke Kobayashi will be voicing his character. Toki is also performing the opening theme song, “Glorious World.” Meanwhile, Mao Abe will perform the ending theme song “Never Fear.” Frontier Works is the original planner for this anime. Itsuki Imazaki will be directing and overseeing the scripts for the anime.
Hiroo Nagao is responsible for the character design and is the chief animation director. Ryo Takahashi will be composing the music. So far, a few of the cast members have been revealed. Aside from Yusuke Kobayashi as Nick, Sayumi Watanabe is voicing the character of Tiana. Sayaki Kikuchi will be playing as Curran. Shunichi Toki and Mikako Komatsu play the roles of Zem and Kizuna. Kaori Ishihara is also joining the cast as Agate.
What Is The Anime About?
Yen Press is also licensing the light novel series and Masaki Kawakami’s manga adaptation. According to Yen Press, the anime is about veteran adventurer Nick, whose life is falling apart. Despite all his efforts in his adventurer party, he gets thrown out by the leader. His girlfriend also dumps him, and his teammates accuse him of embezzlement. Tired and heartbroken, Nick goes out looking for a drink when he bumps into a few kindred spirits in a similar situation. Together, these adventurers form a group and try to save their depressing world. It will be interesting to see how this anime translates onto the screens!

The series will premiere on the Tokyo MX Channel at 11 pm in Japan. The release date is set as January 10, 2023. In Japan, the anime will stream on the Abema service one week before other services.
