Also, Joseph was in agreement with the son to help him in the future, which means that he was working against Elle all this time. This revelation has solved some mysteries and created some.
For now, Elle knows who the person from her memories was. Moreover, we also know that Joseph is working against the authorities for taking away the love of his life. In the 10th episode of Blade Runner Black Lotus, fans saw the back story of J and why he gave up the Blade Running. The episode started with J telling Elle about the replicant memories. He revealed that even after most of their emotions are eliminated, the replicant program failed to erase all of the human memories from a subject. Then, he began to dictate the story of his past. Joseph told that Selene was the last of her targets in the final mission. But the fact that she was not bidding her life made him empathize with her.
But his senior, Marlowe, comes to find about this, and he instructs Joseph to eliminate her immediately. Thus, he kissed her the final goodbye, and Selene died right in his arms. Cut back to the present, Elle also shared about the man she kept seeing in her memories. The man was her boyfriend who wanted to meet Elle. Thus, she gets a memory sketching device to layout the portrait. From the sketch, the man turned out to be none other than Niander Wallace Jr. The episode ended with Joseph calling Wallace to find out what happened with his plan.
