In the first episode of the fourth season of Date A Live, Kurumi finds himself in the middle of an attack on the DEM facility. After he completes the attack, he looks for the Spirit Nio Honjou and manages to find it. It turns out that Shido was getting medical help all this while. He was only confirming whether his health was good enough after the energy of the Spirit’s magic was fused with his body.
Meanwhile, Mana Takamiya was also getting her health checked all this while. Shido brought Nia back to her workplace. Nia introduces herself to be a manga artist as well as a Spirit. Towards the end of the episode, Nia expressed that she wanted to go out on a date with Shido. She also tells them that she had never fallen in love with someone in her entire life.
