Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday serialized the two volumes of the text. Now, it is time for the anime to hit the screens. Fans are hoping to see if the returning series stands up to the expectations of its previous parts.
Detective Conan Wild Police Story: Plot Details
The Detective Conan Wild Police Story anime series is based on Detective Conan’s spin-off manga. The spin-off itself is known by multiple names, including Police Academy Arc, Case Closed Wild Police Story, etc. So, the plot is set seven years in the past. This was the time when Rei Furuya was still training in the Metropolitan Police Academy.
During the formative years of his training, he encountered cases for the first time. DC Wild Police Story will take up cases from the timeline before Rei Furuya met with Conan. Thus, Rei is going to take center stage in the new spin-off story. His coming-of-age arc makes up for the plot of the anime.
So far, the makers have refrained from giving away the first look of the series. Fans can expect to see a trailer a month before the release. Moreover, posters and visuals will also come out in the same timeline. The teaser is expected to release in the month of November itself.
Cast & Crew Updates!
As of the last update, only the cast members of the new series have been announced by the makers. So, the cast of Detective Conan Wild Police Story includes Toru Furuya as the main lead in Rei Furuya. Nobutoshi Canna is playing the role of Jinpei Matsuda. Along with him, Hiroki Touchi is playing Wataru Date. Other cast members include Shinichiro Miki as Kenji Hagiwara and Hikaru Midorikawa as Hiromitsu Morofushi. This able voicing team is working at TMS Entertainment Studios.
Detective Conan Wild Police Story: Release Date
Almost three months after the initial announcement, the makers have dropped the solid premiere date of the new spin-off series. Detective Conan Wild Police Story, better known as the Case Closed Police Academy Arc, is all set to release on December 4, 2021. The series will release episodes on ytv and NTV networks.
