Therefore, to create Black Lagoon Season 4, Madhouse Studio has only two volumes which are definitely not enough. In order to create Black Lagoon Season 4, the makers will need at least one more volume.

All three seasons of the anime series met with a positive critical response, and aside from that, its viewership was also great. It holds a great score of 8.05 and ranked #135 in popularity on MAL. Despite all that, fans never got to see the fourth season of the anime series. The main reason behind the delay is the lack of its source material. Plus, the seven-year hiatus of the anime has also become a matter of concern. Therefore, the chance for Black Lagoon Season 4 is not very great now.
