Director Kazuto Nakazawa’s vision of the Fena Pirate Princess anime series is finally taking shape after years of hard work. The collaborative work by Adult Swim and Crunchyroll was announced back in July 2020. After almost a year of wait, the show is out of production and ready for release. Recently, Crunchyroll has come out with a press note stating new details about the series.
Production IG is responsible for the animation of the new anime series. The news includes a second teaser trailer of Fena Pirate Princess. New character designs and an official synopsis are also out. Fena Pirate Princess Anime: Plot, Trailer & Key Visuals
The official synopsis of the show describes the plot to revolve around the titular character Fena Houtman. Fena loses her parents at a young age. As a result, she has to work odd jobs for a living. Currently, she is working at a brothel as a cleaner. However, a group of strangers follows her to the brothel to tell her the truth about her lineage. Surprised by this, she joins the group to look for her parents. The search mystery makes up for the plot of Fena Pirate Princess.
Along with other updates, a new Japan-exclusive teaser trailer is also out on YouTube and other social media handles of the anime. Moreover, the makers also revealed the key character designs from the coming show. The pictures include the design of Fena, Yukimaru, Shitan, Karin Karin, and others.
Cast And Crew Details!
The names of the casting team include Asami Seto in the titular role of Fena Houtman. The role of Fena’s bodyguard will be played by Ryota Suzuki. Moreover, we can expect to see Takahiro Sakurai as Shitan alongside Aoi Yuki as Karin. On the other hand, Ryota Osaka will be playing Kaede while Gen Sato is cast for the role of Enju, Kaeda’s brother. Lastly, Jun Osuka will be playing Tsubaki in Fena Pirate Princess anime series.
The anime also includes an able team that will bring out a masterpiece in the coming months. The story will directly adapt Kazuto Nakazawa’s original script. Kazuto Nakazawa will be directing the show, whereas Asako Kuboyama will be writing the screenplay. The music department is given to Yuki Kajiura. Lastly, FlyingDog is lending its music for the opening and closing theme songs.
Fena Pirate Princess Anime: Release Date
Unfortunately, the official news does not include a release date from Crunchyroll or any other partner. However, the website only reveals that the show will premiere ‘this summer.’ Speculations suggest that the show will begin its course in Japan and other countries by October 2021.
