So to prevent the Heart Flower from withering, Prince Chess escapes to the Human World. However, the fifth graders, Suha, Min, and Ari, find the Prince Chess in a hamster form. But shortly, they all teamed up to help him save the Flowering Kingdom.
Flowering Heart Season 3: Is It Happening?
As of now, it remains uncertain. Well, the first season aired on February 26, 2016, while the second season started airing in 2017. Since then, nothing has been known about Flowering Heart Season 3. However, the creative team returned with OVA back in 2019. That later gave fans some hope that sooner or later, something related to Flowering Heart could return. Back on November 29, 2017, the anime series writer, director, and executive producer revealed that production would take some more time to begin. Due to a decrease in funds in the second season, things turned a bit drastic for them. However, he announced that production was due to start in 2019. That was supposed to wrap up by the end of 2020.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go well, and Woo-Jin Lee resigned from his position in the first half of 2019. As soon as the news cropped up, it left many fans wondering what would be the future of the show. However, you don’t have to fret, as the anime series returned with six OVA back in 2019. That gives some hope that there’s a possibility the show could undergo production by the end of this year.
Is It Coming Back? Will Netflix Pick Up The Show?
As of now, it’s quite uncertain to say when the show will return. But wait! It doesn’t mean that the show would never return. Flowering Heart has received a genuine fanbase and enormous followers just after the first season aired. The anime series gained a 6.9/10 positive response on IMDb. Further, on MyAnimeList, the series scored 5.95 based on less than two hundred votes, and the ranking is also pretty low. But that doesn’t mean the anime series won’t return.
While many anime series fans are waiting for the third run, there’s speculation that Netflix might pick up the show. Well, Netflix has been currently picking up several K-drama that gives the audience hope that perhaps Flowering Heart could be another show on Netflix’s Korean Wave’s cart. Well, fans of the anime series knew that Prince Chess fled to the Human World to save the Heart Flower from withering. He got help from the Problem Solving Club, Suha, Ari, and Min during his journey. But they unbeknownst, that Prince Trump and Shuel are also seeking Hopeless Energy. While all of them appeared busy in their tasks, things turned dire in the second run. The second run picked from where the first season ended.
Shuel joined the Problem Solving Club and started collecting Hopeful Energy along with Suha, Min, and Ari. But unaware of the fact that Trump was also collecting the Hopeless Energy secretly using a pendulum. The same pendulum which can control people with dark magic. So in the upcoming season, we can expect that Ari and her friends might join forces to collect light magic so they can reverse the curse. They might come up together to help Prince Chess in restoring the magic and reverse the curse.
Flowering Heart Season 3: Release Date
As of now, it remains uncertain when the third season will release. However, the showrunner previously announced that the show was expected to return in 2020. However, after he left the show, it remains uncertain when the fans will be able to see it. But no need to worry. He announced that production would start from 2019, so we hope that it could have been filmed or mapped, so probably by the end of 2023, the show could air.
