In/Spectre Season 2 Episode 3 was titled “The Yuuki-Onna’s Alibi.” The police are at Masayuki’s house with Yuuki-Onna on the police officer’s lap. The episode reveals why Masayuki divorces his ex-wife, Mahiru. She had tried to slip a sleeping pill into his energy drink. She planned to make it seem like he fell asleep on the highway and rule his death as an accident. However, Masayuki finds out that she wanted to steal his fortune and go to her lover after his death. However, the police find a way to turn against him. Masayuki gets taken to the police station as he did not have strong evidence. Moreover, he is unable to tell the police that he was with Yuuki-Onna on the day his ex-wife died.
Masayuki later returns home and is determined to find the culprit. Yuuki-Onna tries to stop him but he does not listen. Therefore, Yuuki-Onna sets up a blizzard. Later, Yuuki-Onna seeks help from Lady Kotoko, the Goddess of Wisdom. She even sets up a test for Masayuki. Kotoko makes it her duty to save Masayuki.
