Encourage Films decided to adopt this LN into an anime series that made its debut on July 10, 2019. It was a standard twelve episodes season that ended on September 25 of the same year. Ever since then, the fans of this show are waiting for the release of its sequel.

The debut season of the Fantasy World Cheat Magician received a mixed and positive response from the critics. On the other hand, the viewers really liked the series because it is pretty enjoyable. The anime series has a score of 5.38 in MyAnimeList. It is quite low as compared to other anime shows in the same genre. The low ratings of the anime series were also the main reason behind the delay in its renewal. The makers didn’t renew the show despite having enough source material. They don’t want to take a risk with a show, especially at a time like this. So, the fans should not raise their hopes too high to see Isekai Cheat Magician Season 2. The makers can order another season of the series if they want. However, the chances for that to happen are very low now.
