The 66th chapter of Kaiju No 8 started with Hoshin taking Kafka into the Ryunei Shrine to train him. He revealed that the people who were slain while fighting Kaijus were all brought to this shrine. Moreover, the biggest watershed battle also took place in the same place. And so, the training fight between the two commenced with full force. Hoshin was impressed that Kafka had made improvements in his skills through this time.
However, the man was still not performing as well as Hoshin. Kafka noticed that he was not able to block any of the strikes that were coming from Hoshin. In usual brawls, he was able to catch up to the fighters well enough. Hoshin then explained that Kafka himself was responsible for holding back his punches. The chapter came to an end with Kafka seeing the image of a heroic fighter in Hoshin.

Chapter 66 was an insight into how the fighters in the Anti-Kaiju squad are trained and prepped for the future. And so, the same storyline is expected to continue in the future.
