The broad storyline of Love Live!! Superstar!! revolves around the life of five girls at the Yuigaoka Girls’ High School. The protagonist, Kanon Shibuya, is extremely passionate about singing. She even finds a compatible group to form a singing team with. However, the only setback for her is the school itself. It is the inaugural year for Yuigaoka, and the institution is finding its way into the competition. So, the weight of their loss falls upon the thriving little girls.
By the end of the pilot season, Liella! began to practice for the upcoming tournament that would decide which team would represent Tokyo at the Live Love! event. The classmates of Yuigaoka offered to prepare the stage for the competition. Before the event, Sunny Passion came to meet the Liella! band and expressed their will to win. In the end, they did win, and Kanon’s team received the second position. Thus, the season ended with new beginnings as the second year of school began.
Now, Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 will deal with the second year at school. So, Liella! did not make it through the competition against the Sunny Passion.
