Love Tyrant Season 2: Will It Return In 2021? All The Latest Details On Renai Boukun

Renai Boukun Season 2

It has been more than three years since the fans last saw Renai Boukun on screen, and now they are getting desperate for Love Tyrant Season 2. The debut season of the anime received a positive response from everyone. However, despite that, the fans are still waiting to see its second season. So, will the fans ever be able to see the second installment of their favorite show? Here are all the latest details.

Renai Boukun, aka Love Tyrant, is a Japanese romantic comedy anime series. It is the remake of a comedy manga series of the same title by Megane Mihoshi. The anime series made its debut on April 6, 2017, and ran for twelve episodes. The viewers saw its last episode on June 22, 2017. And since then, they are waiting for its following installment to release.

Renai Boukun Season 2: Renewal Status!

EMT Squared, aka EMT², produced the debut season of Love Tyrant. It was a great success for EMT² as the series became its highest-rated anime series. However, despite that, EMT² never announced the fate of the anime series. They didn’t even give any update to the fans regarding the show after its debut installment. So, the fans are still waiting for an official announcement regarding Love Tyrant Season 2. Since the makers neither renewed nor canceled the anime for its second seasons, therefore its future is still up in the air.

Do The Makers Have Enough Source Material?

The author serialized the manga series for seven years, from 2012 to 2019. After its publication, the series was collected into 14 tankobon volumes. The debut season of Love Tyrant has only adopted half of these chapters. And that means the makers still have sufficient source material to create another season of the anime. However, if the makers ever renew the anime, then it is likely that Renai Boukun Season 2 will be its final season.

Love Tyrant Season 2: Will The Anime Ever Return?

The first season of Love Tyrant received a positive response, but that wasn’t very great. It has a score of 6.95/10 on MyAnimeList, which is quite average. Low ratings of the initial installment are the main reason behind the delay in the renewal of the anime. Plus, over the past three years, the demand for Renai Boukun Season 2 decreased by a great margin. Therefore, despite having enough source material, it is unlikely that the fans will ever see Love Tyrant Season 2. However, there are very slim chances that EMT² give it a chance as it was a commercial success for them.
