The official Twitter account of the anime series announced that the anime’s 1st part would end on January 8, 2023, with the 12th episode. The series had previously aired a special compilation broadcast on November 13, which delayed the series’ seventh episode. Mobile Suit Gundam, The Witch Of Mercury Part 1, premiered in Japan on October 2, 2022, on MBS and TBS. It aired on Sundays at 5 pm in Japan. However, after a bit of a hiatus, the anime is also set to return for Part 2.
The prequel episode of the anime debuted on Gundam.info Youtube Channel worldwide on September 1, 2022. The prequel also debuted in Japan on September 4, 2022. The episode was later streamed on MBS and TBS on September 25, 2022. The official website of the series also published an English translation of the prequel short story for the anime on November 10, 2022. The original creator of the short story was Ichiro Okouchi.
Will There Be a Break?
After releasing the 12th episode, the anime will suspend from December 8, 2022. The break comes due to TBS’ Hodo ni Hi special end-of-year special programming. The anime series will postpone airing again until January 1, 2023, due to special New Year’s programming. However, after the break, the series will broadcast episodes 10 and 11 on December 11, 2022, and December 25, 2022, respectively. This means that there would not be a long break for this one!

The anime’s second part will air in April 2023. It will broadcast on Sunday at 5 pm on MBS and TBS in Japan. Crunchyroll will also be streaming the anime as it airs.
