Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2: In Production?

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2

The second half of anime’s first season is yet to return on-screen, and fans have already begun to talk about Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. After the arrival of some rumors, the fans are wondering about the possibility of this show returning on screen. So, will the series return, and when will the fans see the second half of this show? Here is everything to know.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, also known as Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu in Japanese, is an ecchi fantasy anime series. Studio Bind produced the adaptation of Rifujin na Maganote’s light novel series of the same name. Its first half recently premiered on January 11, 2021. It ran for eleven episodes before ending on March 22, 2021. Since then, fans are waiting for its second cour to premiere.

Light Novel Compared To The Anime!

The LN series of this show is quite popular and regularly seen on the Oricon charts. It began to serialize way back in November 2012. Since then, its author has published a total of 24 volumes so far, and the light novel is still running. According to the speculations based on its web novel, the LN will conclude very soon. It will most probably end with the 26th volume. The first cour of the debut season of Mushoku Tensei adapted the first three volumes. Now, its second season might find its stopping point at the final chapter of LN’s sixth volume.

Therefore, the production studio will have a total of 18 volumes to create Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. It is more than enough content to produce two more installments of the anime.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2: Already In Production?

The anime turned out to be a treat for the fans who like to take guilty pleasure. Its first season rises up to the popularity charts in no time. Not only that, but it received great ratings as well despite showing a lot of fan service. However, since the second cour is yet to arrive on screen, the makers didn’t announce anything regarding its second season. But there is a rumor that the second season of the show is already in production. Not only the sequel, but the studio is working simultaneously on its third season as well.

Mushoku Tensei’s Second Cour Will Face A Delay!

Unfortunately, the fans have to wait a little longer to watch the premiere episode of the anime’s second cour. It was originally scheduled to release in July. However, the makers had to postpone it due to some reasons. They also informed the fans that the second part would face a two months delay. Recently, on May 19, 2021, Funimation announced that Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2 will officially premiere this year in Fall. Therefore, instead of July, the most-awaited second part will come out in October.

Not only the show, but the makers delayed the release of its third and fourth Blu-ray disc series as well. Now, it will release in January 2022 and March 2022, respectively.

What Will Happen Next?

The debut installment of the anime featured a lot of interesting adventures of the overly perverted protagonist, Rudeus. In the ending moments of the inaugural season, one of the Rudeus’ decisions backfired, and he had to leave the city along with his companions. Meanwhile, Roxy learned about the location of Norn and the father, Paul. They are in Millis Continent. By the end, Rudeus and his company arrived at the Demon Continent’s coastal city. Now, in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2, the fans will see Rudeus meeting with the empress of the Demon continent. Fans also expect to see his reunion with the family of Roxy.
